Google Bug Alert: "You Have No Reviews Yet" When Replying to Reviews

If you opened your Google Business Profile this week to reply to a new review and Google told you that you have no reviews yet, take a breath. Your reviews are not gone. This is a bug, it is widespread, and Google is aware of it. At REK Marketing & Design we manage Google Business Profiles for more than a hundred businesses, and we started seeing this across client accounts at the same time complaint threads began piling up in Google's own support forums.

What the Bug Looks Like

The symptoms are strange enough that most owners assume something is badly wrong. The review panel shows your correct star rating and full review count at the top. Directly below it, Google announces "You have no reviews yet" with a friendly graphic encouraging you to get more reviews. Meanwhile, the email notifications about new reviews keep arriving like nothing happened. The picture above is what it looked like on our profile with 182 reviews and a 5.0 rating.

Your public listing is unaffected. Customers searching for you on Google Search and Maps still see every review. The problem lives entirely on the management side, where it blocks the one thing you actually need to do, which is reply.

Two Workarounds That Are Getting Replies Through

Until Google ships a fix, these two tricks have been working for us on affected profiles. Neither works every time, so try them in order.

1. Click the Unreplied tab. At the top of the Reviews panel there are three filters: All, Replied, and Unreplied. The "no reviews" message tends to appear under the All view. Switching to Unreplied sometimes loads the missing reviews, and from there you can reply normally.

2. Reply from the email notification. Those new review emails Google keeps sending are useful for once. The reply button inside the email links straight to that specific review and often bypasses the broken panel entirely.

If neither works on a given day, wait and try again later. The bug appears to come and go at random, and there is no evidence that it affects your rankings or that any reviews are being deleted. Do not start disputing reviews or making drastic profile changes to shake it loose. That can create real problems on top of a temporary one.

Why Reply Speed Matters Even During a Glitch

Review replies are one of the most visible trust signals on your listing, and Google has said engagement with your profile factors into local visibility. A week of silence while a bug sorts itself out will not sink you. A habit of silence will. This is a big part of what our Google Business Profile management service handles for clients: keeping listings accurate, active, and responsive so small glitches never turn into lost customers.

Never Chase Another Review Reply

Bugs like this one are a good reminder of how much time review management quietly eats. If you would rather hand the whole thing off, our Reputation Management add-on automates review requests by text and email, monitors your Google reviews in real time, and our team writes and posts every response for you, workarounds and all. You also get a monthly reputation report and your best reviews repurposed for social. Prefer to run it yourself? REKommend, our self-serve platform, gives you the same automation at a lower price and you handle the day-to-day.

If your reviews have vanished from your dashboard, or you are just tired of babysitting them, get in touch with REK Marketing & Design or call us and we will take a look at your profile. We are watching this bug closely and will update this post when Google resolves it.
